The first recorded advertisement dates back to 3000 BC. It was an advertisement in a book by William Caxton, which was printed in England in 1472. The ad was soon printed on paper. Print advertisements are not the only early examples. There are also numerous advertisements from the Internet to television. The first television commercial broadcast was on July 1, 1941.
